Frameworks
Frameworks
I am a big proponent of frameworks, of mental models.
A mental model is a way of organizing information and ideas in your mind to help you understand how things work, make decisions, and solve problems. It’s like a map or a framework that helps you make sense of the world around you. Mental models are developed through your past experiences, education, and cultural background, and they can be influenced by your beliefs and values. By using mental models, you can simplify complex information, make better decisions, and anticipate future events based on past experiences. They are a powerful tool for learning and problem-solving, and can help you achieve success in many areas of your life.
Something as simple as a daily routine is a mental model. A routine helps people organize their day and prioritize tasks. It allows people to complete tasks in a certain order, so they can focus on what is most important or urgent. For example, a person may have a mental model of waking up at a certain time, getting dressed, having breakfast, commuting to work or school, attending meetings or classes, and completing assignments. By following this routine, they can manage their time more efficiently and feel a sense of control over their day. This mental model helps them navigate through their daily tasks and responsibilities.
Do you have a framework, a mental model for your business?
If you don’t have an evaluated, thought out and crosschecked model, how are you sure you are effectively running your business?
