In America, we are perfectly free*

On a trip to Israel, I saw a series of apartment buildings that had pockmarks on them. The guide I was with explained they were bullet strikes, fired from the Palestinian controlled areas. He told me there was a running joke in these buildings.
They are perfectly safe to live in, he said, as long as you don’t go into the kitchen in the apartments that face the wrong way. Or, the bathrooms, if they face the wrong way. Or, the bedrooms, if they face the wrong way.
We are perfectly free in America, unless we face the wrong way.
And that wrong way is perfectly subjective depending on who is in power and who is being subjugated.
