The application of knowledge is power. Not knowledge itself.
The application of knowledge is the real power.
Knowledge is one of the most valuable assets that a person can possess. It is the possession of knowledge that makes a person powerful, and gives them the ability to shape their lives and the world around them. Knowledge is often referred to as potential power because it is the foundation upon which all other forms of power are built.
With knowledge, a person can change their circumstances and overcome obstacles. By acquiring knowledge, a person gains access to new opportunities, and can make informed decisions that will benefit them in the long run. It is the possession of knowledge that gives a person the ability to think critically and creatively, and to come up with innovative solutions to problems.
These potential attributes of knowledge are only potential, though. They are kinetic…they are stored potential energy. One must ACT on the gained knowledge to actualize that potential, to access that potential power.
The application of knowledge is power. — Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich
